There are a lot of activities that you can practice with your 0-6-month-old baby at home.

Tummy time is a very important baby activity for helping their development. It also helps in building their upper body strength. From around three months, you can lie your baby on their tummy for a few minutes at a time.

Supervise your baby as she uses her back and shoulder muscles to reach out for toys and get a glimpse at the world around her. Always supervise tummy time, and make sure your baby is awake and alert. One of the easiest newborn activities you can do is showing your baby their reflection.

Most 0-6 months old babies like to look at new faces – including their own. Take a mirror in hand and let your little one explore their reflection by holding them up. Reading a bedtime story might not seem like one of the obvious 0-6 months baby activities. Because you may feel like your baby won’t understand the stories just yet.

But you can start reading to babies right from birth, as the words and sounds can help their development. Picture books are also great for newborn babies, especially those with touchy-feely pages.

Most infants from 0-to 6-months old love listening to music and songs. But listening to new tunes isn’t just a fun experience. Several studies show that music helps your baby’s brain development. It also encourages them to learn language and sounds.

Another thing you can do to comfort your baby is to give them a gentle massage. Massaging is one of the most calming newborn activities. If your baby’s upset, you can try to soothe them by gently massaging their little body.

Furthermore, avoid the use of any oil until your baby’s more than a month old, as this can irritate their sensitive and delicate skin. Another great activity that can make your baby enjoy himself and giggle a lot is the baby bouncer. The majority of infants love the stretchy movement of a baby bouncer.

Some baby bouncers come with extra toy bars. And that makes bouncy playtime even more exciting. Babies also enjoy all activities which involve water. Splashing around in the tub with your baby will make him giggle and laugh.

Plus, it will save you time bathing your little one. The last one on the list, of easy baby activities, is making silly faces for your baby. Making silly faces makes babies laugh and enjoy themselves. But not only that.

It also helps your baby’s social and visual development. It is very helpful as they begin learning how adults communicate with their own facial expressions.
